Exploring other cultures can be done from the comfort of your own home–and we’re here to show you how to travel without leaving your kitchen. This season, taste the globe with our fave international meals.
Pakora

Hailing from India, pakora is a delicious treat perfect for vegetarians (or anyone looking for some meatless recipes). Spicy and colorful, these fritters can be used with all kinds of veggies, including cauliflower and onion, to suit your taste buds. (P.S. They’re also vegan and gluten-free!)
Aguachile

Aguachile is a decadent Mexican dish you’ll def want to add to your dinner rotation. Made with fish (specifically shrimp) and chiles and cilantro, this easy to make appetizer requires very few ingredients yet packs a spicy punch. Don’t let its spice level fool you though—aguachile is actually meant to be served cold, making its spiciness feel less intense.
Tiramisu

While technically a dessert, how could we not include tiramisu on our list? Hailing from Italy, it’s sweet, light and super fun to whip up—we know that once you start eating this coffee-flavored treat you’ll never be able to stop.
Soupe à l’oignon (french onion soup)

If you’re looking for a cheesy, warm snack, this soup is perf. Originally from France (duh), French onion soup has become a staple in America and beyond—its stringy cheese coating and salty, delicious soup broth make it both a comfort meal and savory snack.
Chow mein

Attention all noodle-lovers: we have the dish for you. Made of noodles, chicken, veggies and a special sauce, chow mein is a beloved Chinese meal that’s warm, comforting and perfect for lunch or dinner. Make sure to serve this dish in a large pot or pan so all your friends and fam can easily scoop some out (and then go back for seconds!).
