It’s the start of exam szn, lax practice and theater rehearsals are filling your weekday schedule and you’re trying to prep for prom…all while trying to maintain your self-care routine.
Well, you’re due for a treat with your very own at-home spa day—no breakin’ the bank required. Set your stresses aside, grab your coziest robe and get to relaxing…
Set the mood

There is no spa day without setting the perfect, cozy mood. To help you get into your zen state, you need to start with the perfect playlist. Think: soft music, lo-fi beats or any relaxing tunes that help you unwind. Oh, and don’t forget the scented candles (go for lavender, eucalyptus or bergamot for spa vibes) to create a more relaxing atmosphere. Even just these small touches can turn your bathroom into the ultimate luxury experience.
Get comfy

What’s a spa day without feeling cozy? Grab a plush robe and your fave fuzzy slippers. Robe not your vibe? Opt for an oversized tee (bonus if it’s got that worn-yet-comfy vibe) and some PJ pants with fuzzy socks. No matter the fit, pop on a headband to keep your hair out of your face for skin prep.

Make some herbal tea

Once you’re settled, head over to your kettle and make a warm cup of tea to keep you company throughout your spa day. We suggest chamomile (great for relaxation), green tea (packed with antioxidants and great for your skin) or rose tea (helps with digestion and boosts your mood). If you want to infuse a little sweetness, add a spoonful of sugar or honey to taste.

Skincare

What’s a spa day without some extra skincare love? Whether you’re going full out with your GRWM routine + a face mask + a lip mask to top it off or just want to chill in some trusty eye patches, you deserve to have your skin feeling refreshed and glowy. Not sure where to start? Check out some of our personal faves! (Should we mention they’re super affordable, too?)

Pamper your nails

A spa day doesn’t stop at skincare—bc your nails need love and TLC, too! To make sure your nails are in tip-top shape, grab a nail file and some nail clippers to get to your desired shape. Stay in season with polishes in pastel yellows, soft greens or plush pinks for a pop of color.
Once your nails are dry, moisturize with hand cream and a hot towel (just like the salon!) to keep your hands soft and moisturized. If you want to go a step further, apply cuticle oil and massage gently to prevent dryness.
