Can you believe it’s been eight years since we first met Zed and Addison? It feels like yesterday when we first visited Seabrook High and sang our hearts out to every song. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and remember and relive some of our favorite moments from Zombies…

Name a more hilarious way to meet your boyfriend than accidentally slapping him in the face—we’ll wait. Addison’s reflexes were on full display, but honestly, we wouldn’t want it any other way. Every couple needs their meet-cute, and this was totally theirs.

“Says the girl who wore a wig her whole life?” More like the girl who stood up for what’s right her whole life. If you know Addie, you know she’s all about acceptance and bringing people together. Tired of seeing the zombies being mistreated, she took a stand (yes, pun intended!) and revealed her signature white hair for all of Seabrook to see. We love that for our girl!

“BAMM”

Do you remember the first time you saw Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly on your screens? Chances are, it was during the “BAMM” music video promo before Zombies even premiered. What was cooler than being invited to a supernatural bash with glowing lights, zombie-tongue graffiti and Eliza as the DJ? (Speaking of that, did anyone else attempt to do the draggy leg during your hype-up GRWM routine? Yeah, thought so.)

Fun Facts about Zombies

1.It was almost a TV show

Did you know that Zombies was originally being developed as a Disney Channel sitcom back in 2012? The show, reportedly planned to be called “Zombies and Cheerleaders,” was going to star Luke Benward as Zed and Maia Mitchell as Addison.

2. Olivia Rodrigo and Sofia Wylie auditioned

Olivia Rodrigo and Sofia Wylie (yes, our High School Musical: The Musical: The Series girls) auditioned to play Addison. The butterfly effect is crazy! Considering that Olivia is now one of the world’s biggest popstars, it’s wild to think her career could have taken a completely different turn…

3. Kevin Quinn Auditioned To Play Zed

Wait—Xander from Bunk’d was almost Zed?! We know, we were shocked, too. But while we heart Kevin, no one captured Zed’s charm, humor and heart quite like Milo Manheim!

What is the future of ZOMBIES? 🤔

It has been eight years since Zombies first premiered, but the franchise is far from over. With Zombies 4: Dawn Of The Vampires (introducing Nova and Victor and ending on that major cliffhanger with a whirl from the ocean), it definitely feels like more is coming. Could mermaids  be making a splash our way?

And remember those mysterious casting calls being posted in New Zealand (where Zombies 4 was filmed) and Australia? While nothing has been confirmed, fans are convinced that we could be getting a Z5 announcement sooner than we think.
