Wizards, get your wands (and possibly your funky hat) ready!
Disney has confirmed that everyone’s fave fictional fam, the Russos, will be going on one last adventure. Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will return for its final chapter on Disney Channel and Disney+.
The finale, which is reported to be a four-part event, is premiering this summer—and Selena Gomez is set to make her directorial debut, plus reprise her role as the always-iconic Alex Russo. What will this final chapter be about?

At the end of Season Two (srsly, do *not* keep reading if you haven’t watched yet!), it was revealed that Alex is Billie’s mother. Talk about a huge cliffhanger—we literally held our breath as Alex sacrificed herself by pushing Lord Morsus into a dark magic portal. As of the finale, we’d expect that Alex may still be trapped, but will Billie and the gang be able to find her?
In their latest announcement, Disney hinted about what viewers could expect from this four-part wrap-up for the series: “Billie, still reeling from losing Alex at the end of Season Two, discovers that the only way to rescue her mother is to reunite with her long-lost father. As her family bands together to find Alex, Billie realizes that their combined power is the only way the Russos can defeat the evil plaguing them.” Consider us sat!

What do fans think will happen?
Although none of us know for sure what kind of magic and mayhem lies ahead for the Russos, the Internet has understandably started speculating. We’ve gathered some of the juiciest (but unconfirmed!) plot predictions for your browsing pleasure.
Prediction #1: Damian and Alex will find their way back to each other.
Real ones remember: When the locket was opened with Alex’s tear, everyone regained their memories of Billie. With those mems restored, it is very possible that Billie’s father will recall as well—and begin wondering where Alex and Billie are. If this happens, we could see Billie and her father explore their dad-daughter connection. And if they do find Alex, could Damian and Alex reunite and raise Billie together?
Prediction #2: Alex’s wedding ring in flashback scene means she’s still with Damian.
Some fans also noticed that in the Season Two finale, when Alex was dropping young Billie off at Wiz Tech, she was wearing a wedding ring. This has led to speculation that she and Damian could still be together, but may have forgotten due to their memories being erased.
In past interviews for the show, producer and star David Henrie hinted at this prop being tied to Alex’s character, saying that it reveals key details about her backstory.
Prediction #3: Quinten could be in the same realm as Alex.
Roman zapped Quinten (Billie’s BF) into the nowhere zone after believing Billie was in danger. But fans believe there’s a chance he could be stuck in the same realm as Alex. If that is the case, they may cross paths and work together to escape—but we will have to wait and see!
