Stranger Things’ final season is about to come to a close…and we are simply *not* ready to say goodbye. With Volume 2 dropping Christmas Day and the finale premiering on New Year’s Eve (did we mention it’s so big, it’s coming to theaters?), the best way to celebrate is to host an epic watch party with your besties. Here’s how…
Snacks

Trust, you’re going to want tasty snacks for all the excitement. Stock up on the basics: bags of your fave chips, popcorn or trail mix to keep your D&D party members fed. You can’t forget the iconic Eggo waffles (with maple syrup, too!) and a case of Coca-Cola for nostalgic season one vibes.
Want to take your gathering to the next level (and serve up an IG-worthy dessert)? Try your hand at making strawberry demogorgon heads.
Decorate and set the vibes

Add red streamers all along your ceiling or use sunset lamps to make the room moody (almost as if Vecna is lurking around!). For a throwback to season one, hang colorful Christmas lights above your TV—the Joyce Byers way. In true ’80s fashion, don’t be afraid to go overboard, especially with the Stranger Things references (time to pull up that Pinterest board).
Queue up a Stranger Things playlist

‘80s songs, especially ones that were actually used throughout the Stranger Things seasons (“Running Up That Hill” by Kate Bush, we’re looking at you), are exactly what should be cranking through your speakers as your squad arrives. (Psst: We found the official Spotify Stranger Things playlist.)
Plan some games and activities
Since volume two and the finale don’t drop until 5 p.m. PST (or 8 p.m for our East Coast girlies), you might need something to occupy the time while you await the episode drops. Host a costume contest with your besties (best Eleven costume, go!) or play Stranger Things trivia to see who is the biggest fan of the show. (Or, *ahem,* take our own Stranger Things-themed quiz.)
Set some time to talk it out
While we don’t know what will happen during that final episode, we *do* know it will be one to remember—and an immediate debrief after streaming the last episode is much-needed to conclude 10 years of this iconic series.
