You know what they say: new year, new Netflix queue. With 2026 right around the corner, it’s the perf time to refresh your watchlist—then get majorly pumped for the movies and shows coming up next. From new Disney Channel releases to heartfelt coming-of-age flicks, we’ve got the ultimate guide to 2026 entertainment. Best note these on your cal (and maybe text a friend or two to watch with you)…
Descendants: Wicked Wonderland

It is almost time to go back to Wonderland! Next summer, Red and Chloe are returning for a new adventure. Remember when they messed with the fabric of time in Descendants: Rise of Red? In Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, Red (Kylie Cantrall) and Chloe (Malia Baker) will deal with the consequences of their time-traveling adventure. When Wonderland hosts the Kingdom Cup Games, an unexpected villain emerges to seize the kingdom’s power. What will happen? Trust us—we are *dying* to know.
Packed with amazing songs, fun choreography and brand new characters (including current GL cover star Liamani Segura as Red’s little sis, Princess Pink), this very well may be the biggest Disney Channel movie of the year.
Camp Rock 3

Not only are we getting one new Disney Channel movie next year, but two: 2026 marks the official return to Camp Rock! Fifteen years after the last movie, the Jonas Brothers and Maria Canals-Barrera (Mitchie’s mom) will be returning onscreen, and Demi Lovato will be executive producing (though we have our fingers crossed for a cameo). In this movie, Connect 3 returns to Camp Rock to find a new opening act for their reunion tour.
In addition to some of the OG cast, Camp Rock is welcoming newcomers like Malachi Barton (Zombies 4), Lumi Pollack (Electric Bloom), Brooklyn Pitts (JoJo Siwa’s Dance Pop Revolution), Liamani Segura (this gal’s everywhere rn, and for good reason!) and many more. We know we will be jamming out to the songs in this movie—and prob have a bad case of the “dis-knees!” 🤘🎸

Coven Academy

Besides new DCOMS, we are also getting a brand new Disney Channel series, Coven Academy. The show is about teenage witches who must band together to protect their city from ancient forces.
Did we mention that there will be some familiar faces in this one, too? Malachi Barton (yep, again!) and Sway Bhatia (Zombies 4), Malina Weissman (Series of Unfortunate Events) and Keegan Connor Tracy (Descendants) are just a few of the celebs you might recognize.
Kissing Is The Easy Part

If you live for rom-coms and Disney Channel icons, this one is for you. Asher Angel (Andi Mack) and Paris Berlec (Lab Rats: Elite Force) are about to share an onscreen romance. In this movie, Sean (Asher Angel) is a top student and physics whiz who tutors Flora (Paris Berlec), a rebellious, fashion-obsessed girl, in exchange for a college recommendation letter. However, their relationship becomes more complicated when they start catching feelings.
You’ll be able to stream this one on Tubi—and yes, consider us excited.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

Get ready to return to Panem, tributes! Next November, The Hunger Games is releasing a prequel set 24 years before Katniss’ story about the young Haymitch Abernathy. This movie will give us his perspective on when he was reaped into the 50th Hunger Games (the second Quarter Quell).
The cast will star Joseph Zada (you may have seen him in We Were Liars) as young Haymitch, Mckenna Grace as Maysilee Donner, Elle Fanning as the young Effie Trinket, Maya Hawke as Wiress and so many other amaze celeb cameos. May the odds be ever in your favor!
Spiderman: Brand New Day

Get ready…next summer, Spider-Man will be swinging back into theaters! Peter Parker tries to focus on college while leaving Spider-Man behind. But when a new threat endangers his friends, he must break his promise and suit up again, teaming with an unexpected ally to protect those he loves.
Not only will Tom Holland and Zendaya be returning—but our girl Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) will be joining as a new character. Eeep!
