Who’s in it?
We just found out our new Mystery Inc. Crew, and let’s just say Netflix understood the assignment: Mckenna Grace (former GL cover star) is stepping into her dream role as Daphne, alongside Abby Ryder Fortson as Velma, Tanner Hagen as Shaggy and Maxwell Jenkins as Fred.
Psst: Anyone else remember when Mckenna Grace dressed up as Daphne for Halloween with Mason Thames back in 2024? Talk about manifestation! And here’s a little fun fact: Mckenna actually voiced young Daphne in the animated SCOOB! movie in 2020.
What’s the plot?
While there is no official title yet for the series, it is set to be an eight-episode reimagining of the beloved cartoon. With one very special pup by their sides, the crew will be back to solving spooky mysteries—and this time, they’re rewinding to see how Mystery Inc. first came together.
The series will take place during Shaggy and Daphne’s last summer at camp, where they find themselves caught up in a srsly eerie case surrounding a lost Great Dane puppy who may have witnessed some ~supernatural~ crimes. Teaming up with smarty-pants Velma and the mysterious-yet-kinda-cute new kid Freddy, the group dives headfirst into a chilling mystery that’s wayyy bigger than they expected.
When will it be released?
There is no official release date for the show yet, but we can guess it will arrive sometime next year on Netflix. We promise, you’ll be the first to know when we hear!
