Can you feel the chill in the air? With the fall weather in season, let’s prepare for longer nights indoors by spicing up our space with an autumn spirit. I’m no artist, but it’s the little details in our room and the small crafts that always excite my day.
Polka Dot Pumpkins
It’s fall’s favorite trend…but make it pumpkins. After finding faux gourds,use acrylic paint to decorate them in whichever aesthetic you like (Cute coquette? Chic B&W?). You can even add gemstones, sequins or stripes to level up your craft.
Painted Mason Jars
These adorable jars are perfect for stashing stuff on your desk or vanity. Chances are you have plain glass ones in your cupboard but you can also snag them at the grocery store. First, you can spray the jars with a white primer, helping prepare a smooth base for the paint. Then, you can use shades of orange and yellow acrylic to paint on the glass. Draw pumpkin faces, use green pipe cleaners or even cut thin strips of cardstock paper if you’d like to decorate your jar.
Glitter Pinecones
Glitter pinecones are for all the nature girlies—and they’re so simple too. All you need is a pinecone, some glitter and glue. Put some glue on the edges and surfaces of the pinecones, then add any color glitter of your choice. Place them on your shelves or even by your doorstep for a touch of outdoorsy, fall energy.
Fall Coasters
Fall coasters are the cutest! Many coasters are sewn from fabric, but they can also be made super quick with cardstock, cardboard or tile. Choose any kind of material—ceramic, glass or even wood or cardboard—to prepare for the base. Find any fall designs you love online (or from photographs) and print the designs on paper. You can laminate the paper or add layers of tissue paper and Mod Podge to support the picture and keep it in place. Now, you have the cutest nightstand table decorations that are fab *and* festive.
