Felt ornament making
@emmemadeit ornaments I’ve made so far this december! 🎄 puffer snoopy is definitely my favorite!!! #christmas #christmascrafts #feltornaments #christmasdiy #christmasdecor
Felt ornaments are not only adorable, but will also make your tree look beautifully original. Once you decide what design you like, you’ll need felt, embroidery thread, beads, stuffing and ribbon.
Cut out two identical copies of your design from the felt–one will be the front side of the ornament, and the other will be the back side. Then, using the thread and beads, create your design on the front side (peep a quick stitching tutorial on YouTube if you’ve never used a needle and thread before). Once it’s sewn on, attach the back side with thread, leaving a small hole at the top to fill the ornament with stuffing. To finish off the ornament, attach a looped ribbon near the hole and sew it up. Festive, easy and the newest addition to your fam’s Christmas tree!
Garlands
@chelseazeferina lil chunky chains ✨🎅🎄 found this christmas paper pad at Michael’s & just loved the color scheme!!! these are my colors for the season!! #diy #christmasdiy #christmasgarland #colorfulchristmas #maximalistchristmas
A garland can be made from just about anything, but paper or wired ribbons are the perfect options for a festive display. You’ll need to cut out *lots* of short rectangular pieces from either the paper or the ribbon. Then, loop together the rectangular pieces, securing with a stapler one by one so that they’re attached to each other. Keep doing this until you have a long chain to hang on your walls or Christmas tree.
Wrapping paper
@hanbanjohan_art Can’t wait to wrap some gifts with this! #printmaking #linocutstamps #linocut #blockprint #handmadegift #handprinted #christmasprintmaking
Sure, you could go to Target to buy a generic roll to wrap up your grandparents’ gifts, or you could use your creativity to make DIY wrapping paper that no one will want to crumple up and throw out!
Plain brown paper can be transformed with a couple of different strategies: The first is to use festive stamps and ink all along the wrapping paper to create your own pattern. Or you can simply use acrylic markers to create hand-doodled holiday designs.

Holiday cards are the best blank canvas to send sweet and thoughtful notes to your loved ones. For an easy (and adorable) Christmas tree design, start with a plain brown piece of cardstock paper. Then, cut a green piece of cardstock into different-sized strips, and fold the paper like an accordion. Scrunch up the strips and put a dab of glue on each end to stick them to the paper. Let it dry for an hour or two. Hello, cute 3D card!
Paper snowflakes
@diy_art_craft_hobby Easy Beautiful Paper Snowflake ❄️ #diy #hobby #christmas #paper #craftidea #papercraft #craft #snowflake #papersnowflake
All you need for this simple yet magical craft is a blank piece of paper and scissors. Cut a piece of printer paper (you can also opt for thicker cardstock for durability or colored paper if you’re feeling crafty) into a square, then fold your paper into tiny triangles. Cut different shapes into the edges of your paper to create unique designs, unfold and watch your room transform into a DIY winter wonderland. (Pro tip: You can also opt to attach these to string to create a snowflake garland.)
