It’s finally spring! The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming…and so is your love life! If you’ve finally worked up the courage to (eek!) ask out your crush, read on for tons of ideas on the perfect seasonal date. We promise, your crush will be impressed.
Go On…A Picnic Date

Pull out your fave sundress and a wicker basket, because you’re going on a picnic! This is the *ultimate* spring date (and is super romantic, too). Once you’ve texted bae the deets, run to your local grocery store to pick up some fresh fruit and cookies. If you’re feeling brave, you can even whip up some tasty treats of your own. Your signature mini turkey sammies? Yes, pls.
Once the food’s out of the way, scour the house for the most aesthetic picnic blanket you can find. Sure, you can go with the classic red ‘n’ white, or you can get creative with floral or dotty patterns. Set up in the most romantic outdoor setting you can find (in a field of flowers or under a weeping willow, perhaps?). It pains us to say this, but we suggest ditching the iconic picnic basket (unless you like how it looks). Snag a small ice chest instead to keep your food and water perfectly chilled, and get ready for the most romantic date ever.
Go To…A Farmers Market

Is there anything more aesthetic than a weekend trip to a springtime farmers market? This is the best place to get totally unique crafts, healthy groceries and fresh flowers. And if bae knows what’s up, they’ll def be grabbing some of that last one (wink, wink). Whether you guys opt for a quick walk through or an all-day exploration, there’s so much to see and do, so you’ll never get bored. Plus, this date is *super* low effort, so it’s also perfect for a last-minute hangout idea.
Go On…An Easter Egg Hunt

With spring comes Easter, which means it’s officially time for egg hunts. No matter *what* anyone else says, we firmly believe that they aren’t just for kids–they’re fun for anyone. If you’re using real eggs, invite your S.O. over before the hunt to decorate with you. All you’ll need is a dozen eggs, some vinegar and a little bit of colored dye. You can even make it a competition to decorate the cutest egg, the best self-portrait egg or the most creative one (you may have to go easy on them).
Once all the eggs have been bedazzled, it’s time for the main attraction. To start the hunt, take turns hiding the eggs for each other so that you can each get a turn seeking. You could also get a friend to help hide so that you and your cutie can find them together. Our advice? Make this a challenge by racing to see who can find all the eggs first. Cutesy competition = the best bonding.
Go On…A Painting Date

If you’re the creative type (or even if you’re not), this is the perf de-stressing date. Set up some artsy easels for you and your crush in your backyard and snag some paints from the closest craft store. Before you start, take a sec to admire all the spring scenery around you. (We’re betting that your surroundings are so much prettier than they seem on the daily once you slow down and take it all in.)
For extra spring vibes, you can paint part of that amaze landscape, whether it be the delicate flowers or cotton-candy clouds. If you’re not feeling the nature inspo, you and your S.O. can each paint portraits of each other. Just promise before to not take offense if they turn out… less than flattering. Even if your art skills aren’t quite up to par, you and your crush can still have tons of fun getting crafty in the great outdoors.
