It’s a new year, girlies—which means fresh playlists, new album eras and some (hopefully) surprise upcoming drops from our fave artists. While nothing’s been announced officially yet, all signs point to 2026 being a *big* year for music.
From artists teasing studio time to some v. suspicious social posts, here are our predictions for which stars will be blessing our AirPods with new songs this year…
Olivia Rodrigo

Our girl Olivia definitely has something up her sleeve, as she has been dropping a lot of hints toward a third album lately.
With the fifth anniversary of “driver’s license,” on Jan. 8, she recently removed the GUTS branding from her website and replaced it with a driver’s license renewal notice appointment. She ended up announcing a series of reimagined covers from the SOUR album. Not exactly a new music hint, but a sign nonetheless that she may be changing eras.
Also, in her recent Instagram post captioned “hi 2026,” there was a photo of a golf cart saying “The Album.” What could this mean? Could she be back behind the wheel in a different way?

Freya Skye

At her recent acoustic shows, Freya performed several unreleased tracks, including “Golden Boy,” “Bad Taste” and “Why’d You Have To Call” (which we need on Spotify ASAP, by the way).
With her Stars Align Tour kicking off Feb. 6, we are wondering if these tracks could officially drop on streaming platforms soon. While nothing is confirmed yet, it is safe to say Freya could be releasing new music sometime this year.
In case you haven’t heard it yet, here is a preview of one of her unreleased songs “Bad Taste” (which she performed at her New York acoustic show on Dec. 11).

Harry Styles

While Harry hasn’t officially announced new music yet, many signs point that he could be making a music comeback in 2026.
On Dec. 27, Harry Styles broke his looong silence with the release of a new single and music video called “Forever, Forever,” which gave a look into his final Love On Tour show in Italy and time away from the spotlight. We are v. much hoping that this means he will release his fourth album sometime this year.
There have also been rumors swirling around about potential shows in the UK this summer, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Kylie Cantrall

With Descendants: Wicked Wonderland coming out later this year, we know it is already a big year for Kylie. While we know she will be blessing our ears with more Descendants bangers this summer, she has also been sharing on social media that she’s working on her first official album.
Back in November, Kylie shared a video of her and her team in the studio with the caption “album time babyyyy.” She then teased her album again in December with the caption: “packed all my dreams, left the valley, making the album in atl, be back soon.”

While we don’t know when exactly she will be releasing her first album, we are hoping it will be sometime this year (along with a tour announcement, perhaps?).
From pop icons to our Disney Channel favorites, 2026 is definitely looking like it is going to be an exciting year in music—and best believe you’ll be the first to know when we hear anything official!
