Grab your playbills, ZOMBIES fans! Meg Donnelly is heading to Broadway. Beginning on Nov. 11, our girl will be returning to her roots in New York City to take the stage as Satine in the Tony Award-winning show Moulin Rouge. (We could not be more excited.)
The show follows a young songwriter named Christian who comes to Paris for inspiration and unexpectedly falls into a forbidden romance with Satine (Meg), the cabaret star at the Moulin Rouge. A love story in the most romantic city in the world? Yes, pls! 😍 Expect pop mashups (like “Chandelier” by Sia and “Firework” by Katy Perry), glittering sets and incredible choreography.
From being a theater kid at Annie’s Playhouse in NYC, to playing Addison in one of Disney Channel’s biggest franchises, ZOMBIES to recently releasing her dying art EP, we know our girl is going to shine in this role.
Since she was a little girl she has always dreamed of being on Broadway…and now it has finally come true. Meg shared, “I cannot believe I am saying the words, ‘I am making my Broadway debut.’ What. I have been dreaming of this moment since birth, and it is hard to fathom it is even real. I am beyond excited to play Satine and to be joining this incredible show, cast, and crew.”
