Walking into the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for the Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour, I could just feel it—absolute magic, in the cutest, sparkliest way possible. I was surrounded by a sea of fans dressed head to toe in their Auradon and Seabrook best: bright red hair extensions, glittery blue makeup and, ofc, chic sunnies with “portable night” written on the lenses in bold Sharpie. Little did I know just how fabulous of an evening I had in store.

The Descendants/Zombies: Worlds Collide Tour kicked off in San Diego July 17, and since then, Kylie Cantrall, Malia Baker, Dara Reneé and Joshua Colley from Descendants: The Rise of Red, and Freya Skye, Malachi Barton and Mekonnen Knife of Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires, have been singing, dancing and doing it like the zombies do across the U.S. With over 40 shows on the schedule until September 16, there’s still a chance the DZ gang is headed to an arena near you.
From the minute I stepped inside, the energy was immaculate. Sequins? Check. Merch from all your fave DCOMs? Double check. Girls with high ponytails and glitter (a la Nova from Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires) and Mal’s *iconic* leather jacket from the original Descendants (aka, the movie that started it all) clutched light sticks and phones, ready to scream before the first note even dropped.
A giant magic pocketwatch counted us down into the opening sequence (thanks to a certain rabbit for loaning it). Then the first notes of “Worlds Collide” hit. I honestly panicked for a moment before I realized I was hearing a brand-new song, written just for this concert tour. It’s the perfect celebration of both Descendants and Zombies, perfectly mixing both casts, before Kylie Cantrall strutted onto the stage like the queen she is, and, well, set it off, with her ever-iconic “Red.”
Now imagine that energy, but for the whole set list. No skips, none at all. “Rotten to the Core” rode into “BAMM” like it was always meant to be, and “Chillin’ Like a Villain” flipped straight into “Like the Zombies Do.” My Disney nostalgia peaked when Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly popped up on the big screen to intro “Someday.”

Speaking of, can we please take a moment for the pure magic that was “Someday?” Freya and Malachi just get it. When the opening chords played through the arena, the energy shifted instantly. By the end, thousands of phone flashlights had turned the arena into a sea of twinkling lights. When that last note hit, the place exploded—cheers, tears and all the DZ love. I know it might be crazy, but I’m 100p here for a story about a girl and a zombie.

And let’s not forget our favorite DZ boys: Malachi Barton, Mekonnen Knife and Joshua Colley stormed the stage and busted into a back-to-back “Fired Up”/“Did I Mention” moment that can only be described as peak bromance energy. One thing that I *know* will never go out of style? Boy bands.

Every cast member had their center-stage moment, too. Dara Reneé slayed her original song “Imma Do It.” Kylie went full pop-idol in her solo medley (full of Kylie originals like “See You Tonight,” “Denim” and more). Freya’s “Gold’s Gone” was sparkly-yet-soulful, and Malia and Kylie’s duet of “Space Between” had me ready to text my bestie just to remind her how much I love her (thankfully she was standing right next to me thinking the same thing).

Dara Reneé didn’t just take the stage for her solo moment—she quite literally ascended to it. Draped in regal glam, she poured every ounce of drama into “Queen of Mean,” taking to the air a la Elphaba in Wicked, dress cascading down as she rose above the crowd.

Speaking of solo appearances, no Seabrook party is complete without its #1 crustacean, Shrimpy the mascot made a surprise cameo—and the crowd was rightfully obsessed. He even hit a few signature dance moves. King.

The second the first chords of “My Own Way” rang out, the energy in the arena shifted. It was still hype, still glittery, but there was this extra spark—like everyone knew we were about to get that song. And sure enough, Freya Skye stepped into the spotlight in the most fairytale lavender dress I’d seen since Taylor Swift released Enchanted.
She delivered the opening chords with a confident, easy smile that said, yeah, I know you’re screaming every word, and I love it. Her vocals were amazing, of course, but what made the whole thing magical was how she moved through the song—pointing to fans and leaning toward the front row while she beamed like she was watching her besties crush it at karaoke night.

Then the lights dimmed and Malia Baker made her way out on stage with her guitar. She strummed the opening notes of “If Only”—clean, warm, and totally unexpected—and I suddenly felt like I was in a much more personal venue. No lasers, no confetti. Just Malia, her strings, and a spotlight.

It was short, sweet, and so effortless. By the final chord, the cheers were huge, with that extra “we see you” kind of way. Talk about a total standout in a night full of big, glittery moments.
Then came the grand finale (and grand doesn’t even do it justice), “Set It Off.” The second those first notes hit, the entire arena was on its feet. Confetti rained down. Lights strobed. Lives were changed, guys. I’m not even kidding.
The cast stood shoulder to shoulder at center stage, taking in the cheers. It wasn’t just the end of a show—it felt like the perfect mashup of two worlds, frozen in one epic, glitter-soaked moment. Now there’s just one question left to answer: Where are you vacationing next, Auradon or Seabrook?
