Are you over the classic white tennis shoes? Same pair of Adidas in your shoe rotation? I have found the coolest sneakers you’ll need to match your equally unique aesthetic .
When looking for a sneaker, you want to pay attention to two important elements: silhouette and whether it will match your style. With the silhouette, do you prefer a wider toe box, a sleeker shoe or maybe a platform sneaker?
But nothing is more important than the vibe. I have been a victim of thinking a shoe is cute in a photo or in store only to realize it doesn’t look good with the outfit I envisioned in my head (and worse, just not flattering).
In my search for the perfect sneaker, I found five different choices that won’t compromise your outfit—because what you wear on your feet is just as significant to your fit.
For the edgy ballerinas:
These sneakers are made for the girls who live for that “blokette” style. In two different colors, “jasmine pink” and “black,” they can work with any summer outfit. You can go more feminine with a pair of bloomers and knee-high socks or more sporty with a jersey and jorts.
Currently in only two colors, “whisp of pink” and “silver,” these ballet sneakers are more subtle than the Mostros. The straps across the shoe make them more visually interesting and can make a simple outfit interesting with their silhouette.
For chunky sneaker truthers:
This one is for you my Y2K divas. In three colors, “white,” “light green” and “pink,” you can pair them with almost any fit. The 2000s style gives the shoe a skater vibe, so they’ll match well in any season with baggy pants, jorts and flared jeans.
These are for the girls who like that dad or grandpa shoe vibe. They make the perfect vacation sneaker, ready for any amount of adventure—whether its walking in cutesy cities or taking an impromptu hike. (You’ll be able to hit that 10,000 step goal for sure.)
For the extra adventurous girls:
Tabis have become the fashion “it girl” shoe. The split toe takes what could be a basic Mary Jane sneaker and makes them a conversation starter. All eyes will be on you with these kicks.
High-top sneakers just became higher with boxing sneakers. Why stop at your ankle, when you can wear sneakers that look like boots *without* the blisters. You can go even funkier with their cow print or keep it classy with their black, chestnut and white options.
Shoes are the most underrated element of style. Don’t let yourself be limited by another pair of simple tennis shoes!
