Picking a fit for your first day can feel like…a life-or-death decision. One minute you have plenty of time to try on different ideas and the next you’re running late, your clothes are everywhere and your mom is yelling for you to come downstairs—or maybe that was just me. DW, though, I have learned the secrets to starting the school year right.
Create an Inspo Board
Are you feeling preppy? Girly? What about sporty? Put together a mood board on Pinterest to help decide what vibe you want to go for. You can make sections for accessories and hairstyles so you’re ready for the big day. Plus, you can always go back to your board for more ideas during the school year.
Try on Outfits the Night Before
Do you ever have an outfit idea, then when you try it on, it’s not what you imagined? Me too. Give your outfit a test run so you can decide if it’s worth wearing instead of making a mess in the morning. (Plus, who doesn’t love a late-night fashion show?)
Ask your friends
The GC is made for moments like this. Double check with the girlies to see what they’re wearing. You’ll get a better idea of the vibes for the day, and you can ask for their opinions. Group FT them up for the ultimate debrief.
The first day can be stressful (new classes, new teachers, new and old friends) but now you’ll have less to worry about *and* look good in the halls.
