“I just moved to a new city, so I’m trying to find my own identity and where I fit in at school. Stella was going through the same thing. I could really relate to her worries.” \u2014Parker S.\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cStella\u2019s struggles as a biracial girl stood out to me. My dad is African American, and my mom is Salvadorian. I always felt like I was never ‘Latina enough’ or ‘Black enough.’ Seeing representation always gets me in my feels.\u201d \u2014Kiarra B.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Investing in a planner\u2014and *actually* making a habit to check it every day\u2014is the best way to stay on track. Stickers, gel pens and highlighters make your cal even cuter (and way more fun to update!). If you’re not a pen and paper gal, a digital planner works, too. Try downloading a calendar template from Canva (you can personalize it with stickers and your fave font).<\/p>\n

Another way to stay accountable with your schoolwork? Setting a recurring study date with your besties\/lab partners\/lunch crew. Meet in the library every Thursday during free period to swap outlines or run through flash cards.<\/p>\n

There’s no denying that extracurriculars are time-consuming. But are you packing your days with practices and meetings because you genuinely love what you do? Or because it makes your parents and coaches happy?<\/p>\n

But if you’re realizing that cheer practice is actually draining your pep, it might be time to take a step back.
