They can leave you feeling totally defeated, exhausted and even angry. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Even when the day is just not going your way, there are<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0still ways to <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">take<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> care of <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">yourself<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> We\u2019re not going to <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">tell<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> you to just smile through it, but instead acknowledge it and practice some extra self-love. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You&#8217;ll be ready to deal with <em>those<\/em> kinds of days in no time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It won\u2019t last <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">forever<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Unfortunately, bad days are always going to <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">happen\u2014<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">that\u2019s just life. But the good news is <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">that<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> the better days are coming, too. Also, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">it\u2019s likely that<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> this isn\u2019t the first bad day you&#8217;ve <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ever<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> had, right? <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Remember <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">in<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> that moment how you felt last time, and then how you got through it (because you did).<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sometimes in the moment, a bad day feels <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">very big<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">like<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> it will <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><em>always<\/em> last<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> But truthfully? It won\u2019t. Tomorrow, you can start fresh\u2014and again, and again and again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Make a list<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If your bad day is feeling hectic and overwhelming, take a moment to write down a list of what tasks you need to do for the day. Prioritize what you need to accomplish, and set aside tasks that <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">could be done tomorrow instead<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Creating a checklist can help organize your thoughts and <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">make your day feel less&#8230;chaotic. Plus, it will feel great checking off that task you completed (even a small win is still a win).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If you\u2019re bad day is feeling gloomy, make a gratitude list. Write down a few things that you\u2019re grateful for (and it can be <\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">anything<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">). Even if your day is not going great, sometimes acknowledging the things you are <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">grateful<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> for <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">can remind you of the little (or big) things you enjoy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Acknowledge your feelings<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Feel what <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">you&#8217;re<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> feeling. Trying to remain positive sometimes <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">works<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, but hey, we\u2019re all human. If you need to cry once you get home from school, it\u2019s totally okay to do so. It also helps to be honest with the people in your life, and <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">say,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> \u201cHey, I\u2019m not doing great today.\u201d Your friends and family will understand and may want to offer to help you with whatever issue you are dealing with. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Do not suffer in<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> silence\u2014<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> your feelings, whatever they are at the moment, are valid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Find a moment for <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">nothing<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Sometimes just taking a pause can help you reset, even if it\u2019s just for a minute<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. If<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> you\u2019re at school, ask to use the restroom and take a few minutes where you don\u2019t worry about the past or the future\u2014just focusing on pausing. Take a few deep breaths, maybe even close your eyes. Once you feel a little more at ease, continue <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">on<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> with your day. While taking a mini break<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> doesn\u2019t guarantee smooth sailing for the rest of the day, it can hopefully help you take a mini recharge and reset. And if you need another break again, take one!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Make self-care a <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">priority<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Every day you should practice self-care and love, but it should be a bigger priority on the days when you need it the most. Practicing <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">self-care<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> looks different for every person\u2014ma<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">ybe you<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> need to go on a run, take a warm shower or put on your comfort show. O<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">nce you feel more <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">well-rested<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, you can resume <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">doing<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> other activities that you enjoy <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">on a daily basis<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ask for help if you need <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">it<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As we mentioned earlier, you don\u2019t have to suffer in silence. <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If you need <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">some<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> help or <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">maybe<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">just<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">need<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> to vent, always reach out to someone you love (it can <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">your<\/span> BFF<span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, a parent <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">or<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> even a school or personal counselor).<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Asking for help can be difficult, but we <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">promise<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">,<\/span> <span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">anyone<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0you reach out to will be more than happy to help you.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Need more life advice?
