Held in Chicago\u2019s Grant Park from July 31st to August 3rd, this year\u2019s fest was full of surprises, headline debuts and girl-powered energy that totally delivered.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason #1 Olivia Rodrigo: Closing out GUTS<\/em> with a bang<\/b><\/h2>\n

Olivia took the main stage Friday night and completely owned it. She opened with \u201cBallad of a Homeschool Girl\u201d and \u201cObsessed,\u201d then shocked everyone by bringing out Weezer to perform \u201cBuddy Holly\u201d and \u201cSay It Ain\u2019t So\u201d\u2014a full-circle moment since they were the first concert she ever saw.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

She wore a \u201cGUTS World Tour\u201d shirt (RIP), handed out \u201cGUTS\u201d rings to front-row fans and hinted that a brand-new era (\u201cOR3\u201d???) is coming soon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason #2 Sabrina Carpenter: Headliner and heartbreaker<\/b><\/h2>\n

Sabrina wrapped up the entire weekend on Sunday with a glittery, flirty and iconic set at the T-Mobile stage. She gave us \u201cEspresso,\u201d \u201cFeather,\u201d \u201cNonsense,\u201d and debuted \u201cManchild\u201d live in the U.S. for the first time, with the TikTok choreo, ofc. <\/span>As a major surprise, she brought out Earth, Wind & Fire and performed \u201cSeptember\u201d and \u201cLet\u2019s Groove\u201d with them. Literal chills.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason #3 TWICE: K\u2011Pop queens make Lolla history<\/b><\/h2>\n

TWICE officially became the first all-female K-pop group to headline Lollapalooza. Their Saturday set was full of sparkle, vocals and stunning drone visuals spelling, \u201cThe honmoon is sealed.\u201d<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

They performed \u201cMoonlight Sunrise,\u201d \u201cTalk That Talk,\u201d \u201cQueen of Hearts\u201d and even debuted \u201cTakedown\u201d from the Netflix movie KPop Demon Hunters<\/em>. Fans went wild, and yes, the TWICE girls were spotted supporting Sabrina\u2019s set. We see that girl group solidarity!<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason #4 Tyler, the Creator: A cool, calm and creative comeback<\/b><\/h2>\n

After canceling his performance in 2024, Tyler made his Lolla return Thursday night to headline Day 1\u2014and it was worth the wait. He performed new tracks from his album Don\u2019t Tap the Glass<\/em> (released on July 21st), including \u201cBig Poe,\u201d \u201cRah Tah Tah,\u201d \u201cSugar on My Tongue\u201d and more.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The stage was simple\u2014just Tyler, his lyrics and a killer runway setup. He mixed in fan-faves like \u201cSee You Again\u201d and \u201cNew Magic Wand,\u201d and ended his set with a heartfelt shoutout to Chicago.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason #5 Gracie Abrams & Role Model: Sweet yet sad vibes<\/b><\/h2>\n

Gracie Abrams opened the festival with her signature soft-girl heartache and even brought out Robyn for a surprise \u201cDancing on My Own\u201d duet. (We’re still wiping our tears.)<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Role Model (aka Tucker Pillsbury) gave us a super personal set filled with emotional lyrics and chill beats (and even brought Olivia Rodrigo). His crowd was one of the most loyal of the whole weekend.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reason #6 Djo & Wallows: Indie boy energy<\/b><\/h2>\n

Stranger Things<\/em> fans were living for multi-talented Djo (Joe Keery) on Saturday\u2014his synth-pop performance was trippy, electric and somehow nostalgic yet futuristic at the same time.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Wallows also hit the stage with their guitar-led indie energy, performing for a massive crowd of flannel-wearing fans vibing to every word. Honestly? It was everything.<\/span><\/p>\n

Final thoughts…<\/b><\/h2>\n

With Olivia, Sabrina, TWICE and Tyler all delivering headline-worthy moments, Lollapalooza 2025 felt like the festival of the year for fans of pop, K-pop, indie, and everything in between.<\/span><\/p>\n
