Over spring break, I started hanging out more with this one boy. He texted he was crushing on me\u2026and I texted back I was crushing on him, too! We hung out a bit, but break\u2019s over and we go to different schools, so now I only see him at church. A few weeks ago, his best friend made all the boys in our youth group do some weird \u201cbro pact\u201d thing, swearing that they wouldn\u2019t like-like any girls in the group. My crush went along with it. I was sad but got over him. A couple days ago, his best friend said he still liked me\u2026but I only like him as a friend now. Last night I went to a party, and I\u2019m 90% sure my new crush from school was flirting with me the whole time. I don\u2019t want to hurt anyone\u2019s feelings. What should I do?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sounds like you want to see how things\u00a0might go with the new crush, not the boy\u00a0who let your budding romance get annihilated by some \u201cbro pact.\u201d You and he were\u00a0never offi cial, right? And he got caught up\u00a0in peer pressure. Move on. No need to spell\u00a0it out\u2014you don\u2019t owe him an explanation. If\u00a0the new crush doesn\u2019t work out, that\u2019s OK.\u00a0If the first boy finds his way back to you,\u00a0that\u2019s OK, too. Fact is, you\u2019re going to keep\u00a0meeting more and more guys. I\u2019m glad that\u00a0you don\u2019t want to hurt anyone\u2019s feelings,\u00a0but your feelings count, too. Take your time\u00a0figuring this stuff out.<\/p>\n
